Those steps in 2015 ...........
Now yesterday I posted a story about the new book on the history of Alexandra Park.*

It was partly an update on the project which will draw on the memories, research and personal photographs of people who have known the park for decades, and also an appeal for fresh material.

The Alexandra Park Heritage Group have already gathered a wealth of material and through the summer are working on collecting oral testimony and checking out some of the historical events that occurred in the park over its 146 years.

.................. and in 1906
But there will be more and yesterday afternoon Mike sent me this wonderful picture taken on Saturday of the steps which neatly compliments the older 1906 photograph and just minutes earlier Pawel Lech Michalczyk came up with a story of the “famous physicist - studying at the University in the 1900's, who walked the terrace deep in thoughts and theories."

So I rather think it will not only be a summer in the park but a summer of the history of the park.

Now that can’t be bad.
